Gao Gao (高高 pronounced “gow gow”)
I am a creative and embodied psychotherapist, offering therapy in both Chinese and English. I offer both individual and group psychotherapy sessions.
Dance movement psychotherapy (DMP) is a relational process in which the therapist and their clients engage in an empathetic creative process using body movement and dance to assist the integration of emotional, cognitive, physical, social and spiritual aspects of self. DMP is a
unique therapeutic approach to help participants connect with their inner
emotional world, release stress, and promote emotional and psychological
well-being. We also use music and props to facilitate this process. This
process requires no prior dance experience; the focus is on exploring and
improving your psychological state through the natural flow of the body.
Who is it for?
Our group DMP session is suitable for individuals looking to improve their emotions, reduce stress, enhance self-awareness, self-esteem, self-
confidence, personal autonomy, and promote mental health through bodily expression. Whether you are experiencing emotional challenges, work-related stress, or simply want to better understand yourself, Dance Movement Psychotherapy offers a new pathway for personal growth.
Ongoing group sessions: 3pm-5pm on weekends, 6-8 people per session. More details, please email Gao Gao: [email protected]
