I have been working as a somatically based humanistic psychotherapist for more than forty years and now run a small practice for individuals, groups and couples, all with people who have worked with me previously and or for many years.
Therapy always holds an excitement for me as the contact and engagement with a person regarding their experiences and process is deeply satisfying.
I’m in the stage of life where I’m taking more rest time and making sure my day is porous with plenty of reflection and absorption time.
I currently run two women’s groups, three supervision groups, a somatically exercise class and two ongoing professional development groups. These groups along with the individuals and couples I see in a mix of face to face sessions in London and online sessions from my home in Pembrokeshire.
Qualifications and Training
I trained originally as a physiotherapist and retrained in psychotherapy during the eighties. I’ve been a director of Spectrum, along with the founder directors, Terry Cooper and Jenner Roth since 1986 where I ran the Working with Anger program, the Sexuality program and was director of Training for the last few years of Spectrum’s training program. I was Spectrum’s UKCP representative for many years during which I worked on a number of committees.
My work is primarily informed by Formative Psychology, created by the late Stanley Keleman, and secondarily by Gestalt therapy.
