I am a trainee therapist under BACP with rich experiences in organizations including Talking Counselling, London Young Counselling, HQ Therapy and Headstrong. I create a safe space for my clients to feel comfortable and at ease, so they are ready to embark on the journey to explore their sense of self and relationship. I work primarily with a person-centered and psychodynamic approach.
Areas I work with
I work with adult individuals aged from 18 to 36. I engaged in issues such as anxiety, depression, emotion management, cultural adaptation, immigration, trauma, intimate relationship, sex and sexuality, codependency, self-esteem, and neurodiversity.
Individual Therapy
I enjoy working psychodynamically and cross-culturally, helping you discover new insights about your sense of identity across different places and time. I also help you reflect upon your childhood upbringing and how it influences your interpersonal relationships.
The psychodynamic focus helps you understand your uniqueness and complexity, and allow you to explore your feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors. For example, How do you see yourself as a person in the world? What is your relationship with important others? I am happy to let you free associate (to say whatever comes to mind, regardless of rationality) and help you analyze your dream.
I also use a person-centered approach, where I refrain from giving unyielding suggestions, and instead I will encourage you to take the lead yourself through hints and reflective questions. This is because I believe that you are the sole person who know yourself most, and has your unique view of who you want to be. As your therapist, I will try my best to guide you across this self-exploration with my skills, and to help you can get closer to your full potential.
